on this week's half awake, my growing obsession with UK band "The XX" manifested itself as i played nearly all of their self-titled debut album. stand-out tracks include "islands," "basic space" and "heart skipped a beat." and if you're an overly contemplative "artistic"  type who rides your fixie alone around the city late at night, blast the beautiful "intro" next time you're having an existential crisis and see if you don't decide to just pack your shit already and trek to europe in "search of yourself."
